The Surin Islands are 5 dreamlike islands, about 100 km. north of Khao Lak. They are not as well-known as the Similan Islands, but in no way inferior. Known for its colorful coral reefs and its living underwater world it fascinates many divers and even while snorkeling one will be amazed by the natural beauty of the underwater world.
The islands abundantly covered with vegetation and surrounded by turquoise water are an almost untouched paradise. Fantastic coral reefs in combination with various types of fish and white sandy beaches invite you to stay.
The Surin Islands are truly perfect for snorkeling, swimming and relaxing. Therefore we have three snorkel stops of 45 minutes each. It is enough time to explore the beautiful underwater world. For lunch we are visiting a restaurant of the national park where we will enjoy a delicious Thai buffet. After lunch you will have time to enjoy the beach and lay in the sun.
As the Surin islands are the only inhabited archipelago, we will stop near a small fishing village that has its own culture.
Your tour guide will give you some interesting information about the island life but we do not visit the village anymore. After a fire destroyed the famous wood huts the Moken worked hard to rebuild them. Even if guests are allowed to visit the island again, we want to give the residents some peace and privacy.
